Job Overview
Primary responsibilities include: (1) ensuring timely and accurate completion of all regional reporting processes (discussed below) for the applicable non-US countries within the Americas region and certain assigned US-specific processes; (2) collaborating with the existing US reporting team in supporting the formation of an Americas Regional Reporting team; and (3) supporting the Senior Director, Global Tax Reporting to establish and execute best practices for TE Tax around these same processes across the Americas region.
More specifically, the functions of the Tax Reporting team include:
- Review and assist Controlling with year-to-date quarterly tax provision calculations.
- Provide inputs to quarterly provision and Annual ETR, including Uncertain Tax Positions, Global Minimum Tax, Credits & Perms projection, Cash Tax Forecasts, etc.
- Provide training to Controlling on tax technical, tax systems, and process development areas of Return-to-Provision and Deferred Study calculations.
- Review and approval of income tax and Global Minimum Tax returns and related Return-to-Provision/Deferred studies.
- Prepare valuation allowance computations and documentation.
- Support Tax Planning on income tax audits and tax inquiries.
- Review TE planning and cash management actions and related documentation to ensure tax impacts of approved actions are properly reflected in the tax provision, interim reporting and tax returns.
- Support Tax Forecasting and Tax Planning teams with ad hoc projects, as needed.
- Collaborate with Transfer Pricing team on review of Transfer Pricing Documentation and support Controlling with Transfer Pricing-related reporting obligations.
- Monitor regional tax developments to ensure impacts of local tax law changes are timely and property accounted for.
- Review tax processes and identify and execute on opportunities for improvement.
- Support and collaborate with the Indirect Tax Center of Excellence, as needed.

What your background should look like:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in international and US tax reporting and tax accounting, preferably in a large multi-national corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and local statutory concepts
- Strong understanding of tax provision and compliance concepts and systems
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese is a plus.
- CPA and/or Master's Degree in Accounting or Tax, or their equivalent, are preferred.
- Able to translate complex tax accounting and compliance concepts into simple business terms for non-tax professionals
- Must be a self-starter, creative, team player, and have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Travel:
As needed, 5-10% international travel possible

COMPENSATION
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $137,300-175,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
