Job Overview

Overall Job Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility is to assist the Senior Director and Director in executing M&A transactions and global tax planning. This includes:

- Assisting with M&A due diligence and structuring initiatives, divestiture projects, and organization simplification plans.

- Working with multinational internal and external teams to develop and execute acquisition, divestiture, integration, and restructuring plans,

- Identifying issues and performing appropriate technical research and analysis to support planning.

- Coordinate with legal, treasury, accounting, financial planning, and appropriate business units to develop and implement global tax plans and global capital structure.

- Coordinate with transfer pricing team regarding impact and potential opportunities associated with acquisitions, integrations, divestitures and restructuring projects.

- Provide support and coordinate with internal and external teams to develop valuations.

- Modeling “what-if” calculations to analyze potential scenarios of alternative outcomes in structuring and transactions. This includes running the actual calculations and assessing the impact to the company of alternative outcomes.

- Provide support for TE Connectivity's audits and litigation. Coordinate shared audit payments with both buyers and sellers.

- Assist in providing tax support to various business units.

- Maintain the quarterly and annual SOX Control reporting.

- Initiate ideas and propose implementation plans to streamline processes and procedures.

What your background should look like:

  • Minimum of six (6) years of progressive experience in public accounting or corporate/public blend with some experience in international tax planning/accounting.

  • International tax experience with capability to address tax technical matters, including transfer pricing, international tax, as well as ASC 740.

  • Strong analytical skills and a proven background providing analysis and modelling through Excel.

  • Master's degree or LL.M. in Taxation preferred.

  • Strong project management skills are required.

  • Strong accounting/finance background is required.

  • Strong communications skills and be able to translate complex tax issues and concepts into simple business terms for non-tax professionals.

COMPENSATION
